Dear Grenora Public School Families,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we encourage all families to complete a Free and Reduced-Price School Meals application if they believe they may qualify.
Qualifying for free or reduced-price meals can help reduce the cost of school meals for your family and may also provide eligibility for other educational benefits and programs.
Applications are available in the school office or you can use the link provided here. We encourage families to submit their applications as soon as possible so eligibility can be determined before the start of the school year. https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:us:393e6842-e119-42b5-963f-01a6f765cfce
Please remember:
A new application must be submitted each school year unless otherwise notified.
All information provided is kept confidential and used only to determine eligibility.
If your household income changes during the year, you may apply at any time.
If you have any questions or need assistance completing the application, please contact the school office. We are happy to help.
Thank you, and we look forward to a great school year!
Sincerely,
Jeff Spaletta

Community Information & Feedback Requested
Grenora School District is beginning a community conversation regarding the possibility of transitioning to a four-day student instructional week beginning no earlier than the 2027–2028 school year.
No decision has been made.
The School Board has asked that the district gather community feedback before considering any future recommendation.
We encourage parents, students, staff, and community members to review the information packet, sample calendar, and timeline before completing the community survey.
Your feedback will help guide future discussions as we continue evaluating whether a four-day student week is the right fit for Grenora School.
📅 Survey closes Friday, July 24, 2026.

Just a reminder that our upcoming Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, from 1:00–6:00 PM in the school gym.
Stop by and fill out an application! We are looking for substitutes, paraprofessionals, coaching positions, bus driving and volunteers.
We hope to see you there!
We've recently completed some housekeeping in our key fob system.
Community and student key fob access is now available through the **Main Entrance** and **Door 8 (3rd Grade Exterior Door)** only.
As part of this process, some key fobs were deactivated as we cleaned up duplicate, outdated, and inactive records.
If your fob is no longer working and you need assistance, please stop by the school office during summer hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., or Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our building secure and our records up to date!
Boys entering grades 9–12 are encouraged to attend open gym sessions at 7:00pm on June 16, 17, and 18 as the team prepares for a summer scrimmage in Bainville on June 23.
This information is being shared to help keep families informed of upcoming summer basketball activities.
Questions may be directed to Coach Wade.
