Can believe it's that time of year again?! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY of SCHOOL!! We will have a small awards ceremony for grades K-12 beginning at 12:30 pm. After the awards ceremony, parents may check out their student(s). Please remember to talk to the classroom teachers and the bus drivers so there is no confusion at the end of the day. Busses will run at 1:30 pm. Have a great summer!

See you tonight! Dinner at 6:00 with games beginning shortly after.

Return all marching band uniforms and t-shirts! If you have any at home, return them a.s.a.p. Graduation Saturday May 18th. Be here at 4:30. Ceremony starts at 5:00. If you do not have a sibling graduating, you will wear your Concert Black and Whites.

The first grade students learned about goods, services, producers, consumers, and a basic understanding of supply and demand during social studies. They visited local businesses around Grenora last week to tie what they learned to our community. This week, they created brochures for their favorite business.

The 8th grade class represented Grenora School on their trip last week and did it well! They attended a tour at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, learned Native American games at Fort Mandan, toured the North Dakota state capitol building and the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. They enjoyed some bowling, swimming and good food, as well. Miss Thiessen and Mrs. Paine appreciated Mr. Miller and Mr. Freeman joining in as chaperones. Mr. Paine did all the planning for this educational and fun trip! The kids received some nice compliments on their polite manners.

A reminder about the FBLA National Qualifier Fundraiser this Wednesday! The meal will be a free will donation while the bingo games will be $10/10 games with ONE card, $25/10 games with THREE cards. We have great silent auction items; photos will be in the comments on the "GRENORA- Make friends, Buy, Sell and Info" page on Facebook and as we get more donations, we will add them there. Thank you for the contributions that have already come in! Come and support Nolan, Owen and Molly!

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we share this news!

Band Day TOMORROW! May 11th. Be at the school at 10:00 a.m. Students must wear their OWN black pants and black or dark shoes, dark socks. Drumline may wear SUNGLASSES. Let me know if your student will not be riding back with us on the bus!
