**KEY FOB NOTICE**
Grenora Public School will be updating its key fob access system over the coming month as part of our ongoing commitment to improving school safety and security.
**What this means for current key fob holders:**
* All current key fob access will be temporarily deactivated.
* Staff, coaches, and approved community members will have their access reactivated.
* Before access can be restored, each individual must complete a new Key Fob Access Agreement and Release Form.
This process will allow us to maintain accurate records of who has access to our building while enhancing building security and improving our ability to monitor access.
The date for this transition has not yet been finalized. Once the timeline is confirmed, we will provide advance notice before any changes take place.
During the transition, all current key fobs will be temporarily deactivated while we update our access system.
Following the transition, key fobs will be activated for:
School staff
Coaches
Community members who have completed the required access paperwork and received approval
Each group will receive advance notice regarding when their key fobs will be deactivated and when they can complete the reactivation process. We will provide detailed instructions as soon as the schedule has been finalized.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement a more secure and organized access system. We appreciate your support and will share additional information as it becomes available.

Cell Phones
In accordance with North Dakota state law, Grenora Public School will maintain a bell-to-bell cell phone restriction for all students. Students are not permitted to use cell phones or other personal electronic communication devices during the school day.
To support a safe, respectful, and distraction-free learning environment, Grenora Public School reserves the right to collect a student's cell phone upon the student's entry into the school building or classroom. Any student who violates this policy or fails to comply with staff directives regarding cell phone possession or use may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Grenora Public School Student Handbook.
