The Grenora FBLA chapter will be organizing an Angel Tree this Christmas season. This project will help our Grenora families in need. All families that are needing some help are invited to fill out the form for their children ages 0-18. All information will be confidential for the recipients and the givers. Angel Tree Forms can be accessed through the link below, submitted online, or turned in to the school office. Forms are due by Friday, December 4.

Good Evening Everyone,
This afternoon, Grenora School was informed of a second positive Covid case within the school. Contact tracing has taken place and all close contacts have been contacted.
Reminder: A close contact is someone who has been in contact with the positive person for 15 mintues or longer in a 24 hour period. The school plans to increase its daily cleaning of each classroom and hallways.
Please remember to monitor your child daily for any symptoms. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Good Afternoon Everyone:
Grenora Public School has been notified that we have a positive covid case in our building. All of the close contacts have been contacted and the school has taken extra cleaning precautions. The Mask Mandate the Govenor put into place on Saturday November 14, 2020 helped to reduce the number of quarantined people and with contact tracing.
Reminder that we will not have school on Wednesday November 25, 2020.

GPS Special Board Meeting was today at 2:30 p.m. A Motion was made by Mitch Lundby and Second by Lavern Johnson. The motion was the following: I make a motion that Grenora Public School District acknowledges and will encourage the ND Department of Health’s Executive Order #2020-08 along with the Governor’s Executive Order #2020-43. The Grenora School District is not a Law enforcement agency, therefore GPS, including administration and teachers, will not police the use of masks being worn or not worn in school or on school transportation. Currently, according to the GPS Handbook, administration can contact the proper enforcement agency if they deem necessary for a violation of law. It is then up to the local law enforcement to respond accordingly. The motion carried 5-1
There will be no After School Program next week, November 23 - 26.

THANKSGIVING BREAK UPDATE: There will be no school on Wednesday November 25th. The staff will use this time to continue to plan for in-person and online learning if we would have to transition to that. We cannot thank the entire staff enough for all of their hard work and dedication to educating our students!
The Junior High Basketball Season will be suspended through December 13th. We were waiting for guidance from the Governor's Office and NDHSAA. We will update you as we receive more information.
